Personal care startup Bob is poised to make its debut with what it claims is the world’s first refillable hard bodywash for men.
The product comprises a bespoke bodywash bar and applicator, which featured “medical grade bristles engineered to activate and enhance” the lather, said Bob.
Each 41g soap bar provides around 15 washes. The bars were “crafted specifically for men to achieve the perfect male pH level and are free from harmful ingredients”, the green-minded brand added. They were “made from specifically curated raw materials and enriched with shea butter and coconut oil to have a nourishing, moisturising and conditioning effect on the skin.”
The Bob bodywash applicator helped users “to exfoliate, scrub and clean the skin with ease” and could be “reloaded in seconds”.
Meant as “an innovative and sustainable alternative to liquid bodywash and traditional soap bar products”, the bodywash will be available via welcometobob.com from tomorrow (13 February). A starter bundle of applicator, two bars and a shower mount is priced at £21. Refills will be available by subscription from £7 per month.
“We are thrilled to introduce the world to Bob,” said Michael Brennan, who founded the brand with Will Richards and Max Agace. “After 18 months of development, countless showers and trips around the world to finalise the manufacturing process, we are confident that we’ve come up with a soap-erior solution within a market inundated with inconvenient packaging and products not made with the male consumer in mind.”
