Colin Stephens is to join Barr Soft Drinks on March 1 as general sales manager, responsible for building sales of brands such as Irn-Bru and Tizer.
He will occupy a newly created post, assuming responsibilities previously managed by commercial director Jonathan Kemp, to whom he reports.
Stephens will head the sales team and oversee customer development. He previously spent 10 years at Ranks Hovis McDougall, where he worked in various commercial roles.
Stephens’ appointment follows managing director Roger White rising to become chief executive after Robin Barr decided to step down and become part-time chairman (The Grocer, January 24, p16). White also joined Barr Soft Drinks from RHM.
