Andrex wipes out the competition as domestic matters dominate The brand chart has witnessed dramatic changes with one of seven new entries ­ Andrex ­ shooting straight in at number one with the use of gondola ends, off fixture displays and floor stacks for price promotions and multi-buy offers. Bold and Persil are also newcomers and, with Andrex, reflect the increase in activity in household which has pushed up the category chart to second place. Soft drinks remains top of the category chart, although its dominance is declining and the activity is across many different brands. The most active brand in the category is Fanta which enters the brand chart at number eight. McVitie's has increased its presence in store and is particularly noticeable in Asda. The main theme in store continues to target picnics and barbecues.
