Reduced sugar products specialist Streamline Foods has launched Fruit Shoot jams for children.
Produced under licence from Britvic, the smooth, squeezy jams contained 30% less sugar than standard jam, said Streamline. Rolling out this summer to retailers including Londis, Budgens, Asda and Tesco (rsp: £1.59/300g), they come in apple & blackcurrant, strawberry & summer fruits, and orange. The jams tasted “extraordinarily similar” to the drinks, claimed Streamline marketing manager Séverine Brault.
Appy Food & Drinks has rolled out its lower-sugar Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Peppa Pig drinks, sweetened with stevia, to 800 Tesco stores this week.
