Support is growing for a strike at supplier Bernard Matthews’ Great Witchingham plant near Norwich after workers held an unofficial protest there.
Dissent has been building after the company proposed a change of shift patterns and salaries last month.
The new shift programme, which will take effect on July 5 will move staff who work 10 hours for four days per week move to a five-day, eight-hour system.
The five day week would run from either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, putting workers with families in a difficult position.
Although a pay incentive was offered to offset the inconvenience, employees voted to reject that.
