Strong Roots has added a new range for children.
Called Little Roots, the range is comprised of four SKU’s, each containing three vegetables.
They are: Sweet Potato & Butternut Nuggets, Crunchy Corn & Carrot Chunks, Pea & Lemon Minis and White Root Vegetable Bites (rsp: £3.00/200g).
The range hit Asda this month, and will roll into Tesco next month, followed by Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado and Marks & Spencer in the summer.
Strong Roots said the range was made with 100% natural ingredients, including “the freshest vegetables” and “no added nasties”.
It would help shoppers give their families “all the goodness they need to fuel their daily adventures”, and was a source of fibre, it added.
Strong Roots founder & CEO Samuel Dennigan said the range had been created to “teach kids about texture, origin and provide food that is healthy for the whole family”.
He added that, since becoming a parent himself, he could “see that options for little ones are limited”.
“Parent’s need something that they can trust is good and most of the time that means doing it themselves from scratch. Now they don’t need to,” he added.
