confectionery buying group Sugro has become the latest Nisa member.
Sugro’s fledgling Nearbuy Stores symbol portfolio will work with Nisa on a “consolidated retail symbol strategy” through the tie-up. The stores would benefit from Nisa’s chilled, frozen, grocery and alcohol ranges, said Sugro UK MD Philip Jenkins.

Sugro is the latest high-profile signing for Nisa. Last month, holiday park retailer J&J Wilson - one of Costcutter’s biggest retailers - defected.
