Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I has appointed Daniel Lander as finance director.
Lander will oversee the commercial financial management of the company.
He previously worked for Nando’s Grocery International for almost a decade, holding senior roles including chief operating officer.
Prior to Nando’s, Lander spent 14 years at Kerry Foods, working in various financial and commercial roles.
As finance director and member of the executive committee for Suntory, Lander would “help drive the company’s Growing for Good vision, working with his team to deliver growth strategies and business transformation with a focus on sustainability and ESG goals”, it said.
He would bring his “extensive experience of strategic planning, customer service, digital transformation programmes and integrated business planning in the fmcg industry” to the role, it added.
Lander replaces Conor Brew, who has taken on a new role as finance director for Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, Export and Commercial Markets & Benelux.
Lander begins the role effective today (7 September), working from the business’ Stockley Park office in Uxbridge.
He said it was “a privilege to be leading the SBF GB&I financial team in such a dynamic sector”.
He was “looking forward to working with the wider team to continue strengthening our key customer and supplier relationships and build on the success of the last 12 months”, he added.
Suntory COO Carol Robert said Lander brought with him “almost 25 years of experience in the fmcg industry, and a true ‘Yatte Minahare’ spirit that will be vital in helping us to deliver our business strategy and overall Growing for Good vision”.
