Landmark Wholesale has bagged two new members.
Delivered wholesaler Sutaka and foodservice specialist Caterway will join in January alongside the recently announced RD Johns and Abra Wholesale.
Caterway trades in the fish and chip market and is looking to expand into other areas. Sutaka distributes branded food and household products.
The new recruits will increase Landmark’s membership to 40.
Landmark Wholesale has also reported a 13% rise in pre-tax profits to £1.2m on turnover up 12% to £6.5m for the year to 30 April.
The figures are for Landmark’s central operation, which includes central trading and marketing functions and is owned by the members.
Landmark said own-label sales increased 8%, following growth of 26% the previous year.
“The figures represent the continued growth of Landmark through our branded and own-label sales, plus the smooth and efficient running of the central function with great control of costs and income,” said MD Martin Williams.
Profits would be “distributed back to members”, Landmark said.
