A vast array of companies is lining up to tempt buyers with sweet and savoury ranges at the bakery and confectionery arena at IFE05.
This year there will also be a new Taste Feature, exclusively designed for bakery and confectionery exhibitors to let buyers try products at their best.
Kieron Haycock, IFE05 marketing manager says: “Any bakery and confectionery buyer visiting IFE05 cannot fail to be impressed with the range and diversity of bakery and confectionery products on display.
“We are keen to ensure that a good mixture of UK and International companies are represented at IFE05 and that the needs of bakery and confectionery buyers from every sector of the industry are met.”
First-time exhibitor and UK newcomer Mantinga UK is utilising IFE as a launch pad for its diverse range of European speciality breads and pastries. Matinga is already a large brand in the Baltic and managing director Steven Macintosh has high hopes for his bakery range, which includes part-baked and fully-baked products such as seeded baguettes, pizza slices and a Gouda cheese loaf.
There will be other products launched at the exhibition, including BakeMark UK’s new range of licensed products that have been developed in collaboration with Nestlé. Although the company is keeping details of this range under wraps until the exhibition opens, it has announced that one of the features of the forthcoming range will be a new type of cookie.
BakeMark will also be showing its frozen bakery specialities in the Bon Vivant range and sweet treats in the Readi-Bake portfolio, including ready-to-bake cookies, doughnuts, Danish pastries, brownies and muffins.
Another big launch for IFE is the new Weight Watchers cake bars from Anthony Alan Foods. The company explains that the new lemon and ginger, and jaffa orange cake bars have been developed with its key objective in mind, which is to create healthier yet tempting products by reducing fat and calories.
The full range of Weight Watchers bakery and savouries products will also be on show, as will the new individual, twin and triple packs of the cake bars that are designed to suit the needs of convenience retailers.
Other exhibitors signed up to IFE05 include regulars LA Lorraine, Planete Pain and first-time exhibitors Fornetti, European Bakeries, David’s New York Bakery and Essentially Lite.
Dawn Foods also has an interactive stand for its new range of sweet bakery goods and Surrey-based Orion Confectionery will show off its hollow and solid chocolate gifts.
