Lindt is to give its famous chocolate brand a new twist by introducing a range based on classic desserts.
Available from this month, new Petits Desserts are tablet versions of Crème Brulee, Hazelnut Praline and Dark Orange.
The first two contain “extra fine” milk chocolate, while the latter features dark chocolate. All three bars will retail at £1.99.
Meanwhile, Lindt is hoping that the launch of Crunchy Caramel under its Excellence chocolate bar banner will have mass appeal.
It plans to support the newcomer with a sampling initiative and advertising.
A spokesman said: “There is a big market opportunity for a premium caramel product.”
