The merger of Reckitt Benckiser household cleaning brands Dettol and Dettox is to get under way in June, with the Dettox products changing their names to come under the Dettol umbrella.
The aim is to make the change gradual so as not to confuse consumers.
From June, Dettox packs will sport the Dettol sword brand symbol through the o' of their name. In August, packs with the final x' replaced by l' will be rolled out. The changes will get support from instore activity and media support.
"Concentrating on one power' brand will make administration easier and allow us to channel more investment in npd," said a company spokeswoman.
All ordering will be done through the company's household division in Swindon.
