Londis says nearly a hundred Scottish retailers are planning to sign up following its recent recruitment drive in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Seventeen retailers joined at the open days, and the symbol group says it has begun negotiations with 64 of the other attendees. In the three months since it opened a depot in Wakefield to service Scotland, 46 stores have joined Londis. The group says a further 30 are being checked through its credit control system.
Terry Bedford, Londis sales director said: "The quality of leads has been superb. Scottish retailers...want to join Londis because they are confident we can help them develop their business."
