T Quality has bought Morrison’s Foodservices, a move which will see the acquired wholesaler operate as a division of T Quality in Scotland.
It comes as T Quality looks to expand its delivery network to cope with increased demand. The acquisition of the Scottish foodservice supplier will also aid in the development of new product ranges.
T Quality, which currently has 10 branches, is planning to open a new site in Portsmouth in the coming weeks.
Morrison’s Foodservices is a family-run business which has been supplying fish and chip shops in Scotland for the past 52 years.
“We are delighted to be able to finally announce the acquisition of Morrison’s Foodservice,” said T Quality MD Mike Crees.
“The acquisition is a game-changer for how we will operate in Scotland and really is an exciting opportunity for T Quality.”
“We will be able to add further capacity to our operation which will see us deliver to the whole of Scotland, but will also help to enhance customer service levels with increased delivery dates.
“We look forward to working with everyone at Morrison’s from current employees to customers and suppliers.”
