Britvic is bringing out a mango version of Tango in its latest experiment with the brand.
It’s hoped the limited edition Mango Tango, available in 500ml and two-litre bottles from this month, will revive interest in the brand and boost summer sales in the crowded soft drinks market. The 500ml size will be available in price-marked packs of 75p.
The new flavour will have a special pack design - featuring a ‘Love Fruit’ wearing sunglasses
and bling - and will be supported by point-of-sale material.
Britvic carbonates controller Adrian Troy said: “Mango Tango is an innovative new flavour which will give consumers a fun, fantastic-tasting soft drink this summer.”
In April, Britvic launched a clear, sugar-free version of Tango to target the growing flavoured water category.
Last year, the company ditched Tango sub-brand Strange Soda, a mixture of milk, fruit juice and water, because consumers found it “too challenging”.
