Tesco has expanded its ethnic dairy range, listing a Jamaican canned cheese from specialist supplier Tropical Sun.

Tastee Cheese, which has a slightly salty taste, comes in a tin and has a shelf life of between six and 12 months.

The cheese initially went into Tesco stores on 6 April, rsp £4.99 for a 300g can, although the price was lowered to £3 on the same day [BrandView.co.uk].

Tropical Sun markets the cheese as a constituent part of the traditional Jamaican Easter dish ‘bun and cheese’ but also as an all-round condiment. “We think you’ll find our processed cheese so versatile and tasty that you’ll want to try it on everything,” the company said.
