Chilled meal kit range Hare’s Moor has rebranded as Tastesmiths as it seeks more listings among the mults.
The brand, launched in 2009, successfully raised capital earlier this year to support the relaunch, which includes a “significant investment” in packaging, production, marketing and PR, said founder Sally Hares.
The range is currently available from Ocado (rsp: £3.50) and is based on seven recipes including korma, balti, rogan josh and madras.
Kits include the correct amount of freshly ground spices and fresh ingredients such as garlic and coconut to cook a meal - allowing consumers to avoid the usual waste of dried spices and fresh ingredients, which often end up “languishing at the back of the cupboard or bottom of the fridge”, said Hares.
Consumers then “simply add an onion, a choice of meat or veg and some tomatoes and follow on-pack instructions to create an authentic tasting homemade dish without the fuss,” she added.
