Walkers is running a new Pokémon promotion which aims to piggyback on the release of new Pokémon games for Gameboy.
The Walkers promotion is based around a collection of 25 lenticular Tazos, 23 of which carry images of new Pokémon characters.
There will be 60 million Tazos doing the rounds, with one in every two packs of Quavers, Monster Munch, French Fries and Funyuns and one in every bag of Cheetos.
The promotion broke this week and runs for eight weeks on four of the brands and 12 weeks on Cheetos.
Walkers believes this will be a major pull for kids as it is the first to feature new Pokémon characters and is going all out to make sure the promotion is visible in store. It has produced branded PoS material. And wholesalers will be stocking Pokémon Tazo holders which include one free Tazo (rsp: 39p).
The promotion aims to capitalise on the new Gold and Silver Pokémon games for GameBoy which Nintendo plans to release on April 6.
To support the promotion Walkers is spending £1.5m on TV advertising to kids on terrestrial and satellite channels and sampling of five million Tazos.
