New tea brand TeaJay is set to appear on TV soap Emmerdale.
The 10-strong loose tea range, which launched in December, will appear in Emmerdale’s café from mid-March.
“We sent samples to the crew and they liked them,” said CEO Selen Mostyn, adding that she had not paid a fee to get the products on screen. “We asked if they were interested in putting the teas into the café and they said yes.”
The brand name is a play on DJ and the tea blends have been inspired by songs and music including Across the Milky Way by The Pearlfishers.
The teas are available in tins priced from £9.90 (75g-100g) as well as refills and sample packs.
