>>a ‘dynamic, specific and unique’ outfit

James Bruckner, commercial manager for soft drink brand Appletiser, says he is proud to work in a dynamic, hard-working and close-knit team.
Bruckner has been commercial manager at Appletiser for almost a year and leads a team of three. He was previously a business development manager for the Morrisons business.
“The team is very strong and we all work very hard to support each other in an active sense,” he says. “It is dynamic, very specific and unique.”
He is joined on the team by commercial executive Andy Saunders, who was previously part of Appletiser’s regional sales team and is responsible for making sure that Appletiser connects with its sales force.
Bruckner works closely with Saunders. “The most important part of my role is personal development,” he says. “Andy and I have weekly development sessions. This is the most rewarding part of my job.”
Brand manager Caroline Bonpain, who has international experience gained from working at Kimberly-Clark, Nestlé and Coca-Cola, completes the team.
Plans for this year include significant above-the-line investment and strong PR, working across the full marketing mix with a £3m spend. It also plans to build on international success, strengthen links with the on-trade and promote in pubs, bars and supermarkets.
“We had great success last year with Appletiser’s Friends sponsorship and our Diamond promotion and want to continue this,” adds Bruckner.
