>>brand development team for winalot
The brand team at dog food range Winalot, part of Purina Petcare, has a truly international flavour.
Senior brand manager David Rebetzke is Australian. He leads a team of two brand managers - Stephanie Theobald, from the UK, and Janou Kamman, who is Swiss.
Rebetzke says that this cosmopolitan combination has proved invaluable and allows the team to draw on the experience of different countries, companies and business objectives.
“It really helps drive innovation, ideas and productivity,” he explains.
Rebetzke sets the direction for the team in terms of brand perception. He has been at Winalot for 18 months, having joined the company from Colgate-Palmolive where he worked as a brand manager for Colgate’s power brushes and Palmolive’s shower gels and soaps in the UK and Australia.
Kamman has been with Winalot for two-and-a-half years and works on the brand’s snacks and treats ranges, including last year’s launch of Dental Fresh chew brand.
The newest member of the team is Theobald who works on Winalot’s canned and complete dry and mixer ranges. She joined Winalot seven months ago from Unilever.
Together, they are working on developing Winalot’s casserole selection, which came about after research showed that 41% of Winalot customers thought including vegetables in dog food ingredients was important.
