A family-run Italian producer is bringing its homemade products to the UK on the back of increased demand.
Italian farm & winery Terre di San Vito, which already supplies extra virgin olive oil to Waitrose, is ready to offer UK consumers a range of goods including red, white and rosé wine and jarred specialities such as pickled artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, fig jam, orange marmalade, apricot jam and eggplant pickle.
Seasonal items including carota di Polignano (Puglian Carrots) and ‘buttons’ of freshly made pasta, can also be purchased through terredisanvito.co.uk.
The goods are produced on the ‘De Napoli’ family farm, located one kilometre away from the Adriatic Sea in Puglia, southern Italy where grapes, olives, fruit and vegetables are all picked by hand.
“After trading in Italy for over a decade, the question we repeatedly received when people tried our produce was ‘when can I buy this in the UK?’ Terre di San Vito UK managing director John De Napoli told The Grocer.
“As demand increased, we felt that there was a place in the UK for premium fresh Italian produce that had family at its heart. We tested here earlier in the year and received a fantastic response.”
