Terry’s has unveiled a trio of Easter products for 2025, pushing forward on its ambition to drive sales “beyond Christmas”.
The innovations are: Chocolate Orange Cream Filled Egg (rsp: 70p/34g), Chocolate Orange Easter Egg with Exploding Candy Minis (rsp: £1.35/91g) and XL Chocolate Mint Easter Egg (rsp: £6/295g).
All three were developed in response to consumer demand, said Terry’s.
Chocolate Orange Cream Filled Egg had proven popular in concept testing, with 85% of 169 respondents saying they would likely buy it [July 2022].
Chocolate Orange Easter Egg with Exploding Candy Minis, meanwhile, was launched in response to increased demand for Terry’s’ existing popping candy products, value and volume sales of which soared by over 50% in 2024 compared with 2023 [Nielsen Scantrack Grocery Multiples, full year 2024 vs full year 2023].
Finally, XL Chocolate Mint Easter Egg, which is exclusive to Tesco, was built on the success of Chocolate Mint Ball, which sold out mid-season when it launched ahead of Christmas 2023.
The new products will join Terry’s’ lineup of Easter treats: XL Chocolate Orange Easter Egg, XL Chocolate Orange Exploding Candy Egg, Chocolate Orange Milk Mini Eggs and Chocolate Orange Mini Eggs Bar.
“After the fantastic response to last year’s Easter range, we’re stepping it up again,” said Terry’s senior marketing manager Lorène Decam.
“Our new lineup blends iconic flavours with playful twists, proving we’re more than just a Christmas favourite.
“With exciting innovations like our first-ever orange cream-filled egg, we’re giving shoppers more reasons to indulge and helping retailers make the most of the season.”
It comes after Terry’s unveiled a milk chocolate ball as part of its goal “to take the brand beyond orange” in August.
The “smooth and creamy” NPD (rsp: £2/145g) comes in the same 20-segment format as Chocolate Orange, “enabling a level of product familiarity”, according to Terry’s.
