Tesco is aiming to stimulate growth in its pharmaceutical business by selling Viagra.
The supermarket will stock the Pfizer-made drug in 300 stores from next week, according to The Times.
Men aged between 40 and 65 will be able to buy the treatment over the counter, subject to a blood pressure check and other medical tests.
Currently only Boots sells Viagra over the counter in the UK. Tesco is reportedly planning to undercut the high street chemist by selling eight tablets for £52, a major discount on Boots’ price of £55 for four.
