Tesco group business transformation director Jill Easterbrook will leave the group in the new year after 15 years with the company.
She joined Tesco in 2001 as business development director, a job she held for two years.
She then became stores director for two years before she was appointed director of corporate affairs in 2007. She became group strategy director in 2009, director of clothing UK and ROI two years later, and managing director, developing businesses in July 2012.
Easterbrook was appointed to the role of chief customer officer in July last year and was given the extra responsibility of group business transformation director last February.
Before joining Tesco, Easterbrook spent four years as a management consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and four years in merchandising at Marks & Spencer.
“Jill has held a number of leadership positions across Tesco including running UK clothing, leading our developing businesses and most recently, overseeing the first phase of our turnaround as group transformation director,” said a Tesco spokesman. “We’d like to thank Jill for her outstanding work during her time at Tesco and wish her every success for the future.”
