Tesco controls the grocery market in 67% of UK postcode areas, research has revealed.
Data from retail consultancy CACI found that Tesco is the dominant supermarket in 81 of the 121 UK postcodes.
It added that Tesco's local share was higher than its national share of roughly 30% because of the high density of stores in some areas.
