Tesco is continuing its legal fight to sell cheaper, grey market Levi's jeans in the UK. The European Court of Justice in Strasbourg ruled last month that the multiple could not source Levi's jeans from outside the EU without the brand owner's permission. But Tesco is appealing the case to the British High Court, arguing that the European Court overlooked vital aspects. Tesco said: "The court failed to address the human rights angle of the case, such as the right to own property and the right to free speech." The High Court could overturn the European decision and the dispute could be heard again in Strasbourg. A High Court hearing scheduled for December 10 was adjourned until later this year. {{NEWS }}
