Cheshire cheesemaker Joseph Heler is hoping more shoppers will add its Blue Cheshire to their cheeseboards this Christmas after winning a new Tesco listing.
Blue Cheshire, which has a smooth, buttery texture and a slightly tangy flavour, hits Tesco deli counters in the north of England from 10 December.
The timing of the listing was perfect, said Heler, as it was in the run-up to Christmas. “We have worked to ensure that the timing was right and that the flavour exceeds all expectations,” it said.
The cheese, also sold in Sainsbury’s, featured in The Grocer’s Dairymen Cheeseboard, a list of 20 regional cheese gems, in September.
