Tesco yesterday said it was adding five more stores to the property investment programme involving its stores in Thailand.
Twenty-two Tesco Lotus stores are now involved in the scheme, which was launched in March.
The news marks the latest in a string of moves designed to free up capital from its international property empire.
Last month Tesco unveiled a £300m sale and leaseback scheme designed to release cash from its Homeplus stores in South Korea.
