Tesco is moving 420 jobs to Bangalore, India, from three of its offices in the UK, according to a Reuters news report.
The jobs will be from offices in Cardiff, Dundee and Welwyn Garden City, in the areas of business support.
The retailer has said its UK employees will be offered new jobs within Tesco.
“Everybody will be offered an alternative role at Tesco. Last year we had 350 roles that were moved and 70% of the staff that were affected took up alternative positions at Tesco,” said a spokeswoman.
