Tesco is expecting a major boom in kosher sales, with preparations in place for the Passover festival.
The key event in the Jewish calendar takes place from 22 April to 30 April and 20 Tesco stores will include a full Passover range.
They will include an exclusive own label Matza range, with regular, whole wheat and spelt, offers across wine such as Kedem Kiddush Wine and Palwin no.10 Red Menorah cut to £5 and half-price grape juice.
Tesco has also donated more than £15,000 worth of kosher-related products, such as Kedem Kiddush Wine and dried fruits, to the United Synagogues Passover Appeal.
“Passover is an important time in the calendar for many of our customers and colleagues,” said Tesco world food manager Matt Clarke.
“As food plays a hugely significant role, we’re proud to offer a delicious range of products and meals at great prices in over 20 of our stores.”
