Tesco has launched a nationwide teaser campaign for the forthcoming revamp of Clubcard, billed as 'Clubcard 2'.
The supermarket has placed billboards with the message 'Clubcard 2: coming to a supermarket near you' around the country. The boards do not carry Tesco's name or logo.
In April, Tesco announced it would spend £150m on its Clubcard revamp, and it began in May with new double-point vouchers for certain categories.
The new ad campaign hints at the possibility of additional features but Tesco was staying tight-lipped ahead of the launch, believed to kick off next week.
A statement given to store staff in case of enquiries said: "There will be customers asking about the new Clubcard. All we can tell you just now is that it will be worth the wait."
