Tesco has announced plans to expand its clothing range in-store, on its website and via a clothing catalogue.
The retailer's fashion chief executive Terry Green said that he expected to boost clothing sales to £1bn next year, and was planning to roll out a string of dedicated clothing departments within existing stores.
“We have a massive investment coming in and we are going to trial selling our clothing ranges online next year. We have sold 20% more clothing than last year and it is a huge growth area for us,” he told City AM.
