Tesco is set to enter the convenience sector in China by opening Tesco Express stores in the country.
The supermarket giant will open its first Tesco Express store in Shanghai next month, according to the Financial Times.
Tesco already operates 50 hypermarkets in China through a partnership with Ting Hsin, which operates Hymall stores, and last year opened its first Tesco branded store in the country.
