Scottish TV chef Nick Nairn is launching a range of bread, biscuits and cereals to champion local produce.
The range, which starts rolling into Scottish Tescos at the end of this month, comprises multigrain and white rolls, tattie scones, Scottish crumpets and two granola cereals (rsp: 99p for six scones to £2.99 for the cereal). It would be positioned as "affordable good quality food" using Scottish ingredients, said Mel Hoare, brand development director, Rivermill Foods, which makes the range under licence.
The company is in talks with the other multiples about listings in England.
