Tetley is bringing its tea-folk brand characters back to TV screens for the first time in a decade as part of a £9m new advertising campaign.
The cap-wearing cartoon characters will be given a modern makeover for the TV ads, which hit screens on 20 September for a six-week push accompanied by press and outdoor advertising.
Tata Global Beverages said the reappearance of the tea folk would raise awareness of other brands in its portfolio, such as Redbush.
“Our adverts have traditionally centred on individual products but this push will unify the entire portfolio using the beloved tea folk,” said Tata marketing controller Simon Attfield.
“When the tea folk were last on TV, Tetley made only black tea and there are now a lot more strands to the brand.”
