Thatchers has added a 10x440ml multipack for its cloudy Haze brand.
The new format, set to roll out from January, was “a natural progression to ensure customers are stocked up to enjoy at home” said Thatchers MD Martin Thatcher.
“Cloudy cider has been one of the biggest trends of the last two years, and we expect that to continue across both the on and off-trades throughout 2018.”
Sales of Thatchers Haze grew by £4.7m to £6.5m over the past year, a 267% increase. Indeed, all of the Somerset cidermaker’s lines are flying off the shelves: Gold, its flagship variant, is up £10.3m (35.7%) to £39.3m, Katy is up £700k (16.6%) to £4.7m, and Vintage has added £1m (34.6%) to £3.9m [Nielsen 52 w/e 9 September 2017].
