Thatchers is aiming at females with the launch of a perry made from English Conference pears.
The Somerset cider producer hopes that the 7.4% abv perry (rsp: £2.29) will appeal to women who are looking for a lighter drink to accompany dinner or share with their friends.
Thatchers Perry is packaged in a 75cl bottle and produced from just one type of pear, following in the
footsteps of the company’s new single apple varietal ciders. Martin Thatcher, managing director, said: “Many of our customers have been telling us that they would like us to produce something light, easy to drink, with a touch of sophistication specially for the female market.
“The 75cl bottle makes it ideal for sharing, it’s great with food, and its elegant packaging means it can sit easily on any dining table.”
