The packaging of these sausages is good. It incorporates the Heinz Baked Beanz logo which is eye-catching and it has a label indicating 50% less fat.
The product tasted OK, but I had already had enough after eating only two sausages.
I decided I would have preferred a good, meaty sausage and the baked beans served beside them, rather than eating everything rolled into one.
However, when my children tasted the leftovers they could not get enough. They tucked in and asked for more. So, perhaps this product would work better if aimed at kids rather than adults.
I would not buy the sausages again for myself, but could imagine getting them for the kids on a regular basis as I appreciate the fact that they are a much healthier option than most sausages.

The packaging is standard for this type of product, a black tray with a cardboard wrap round sleeve, but it is quite distinctive and will stand out in the supermarket cabinet when on display.
In an uncooked state, the sausages are bright with a distinctive orange colour.
When cooked, they were okay but I wouldn’t say they were outstanding.
They had quite a sweet flavour with a semi-coarse texture and a firm bite. You could make out the presence of the baked beans.
I am sure that the product will appeal to the targeted audience, but that won’t be me.
The support of the Heinz marketing team will, no doubt, ensure that the newcomer is successful.
