Consumer’s Verdict
Caroline Hasselbalch, doctor and mother of a 2-year-old, 29, Birmingham
I am always on the lookout for healthy eating options for my child that aren’t a struggle to make her eat, so I was excited to hear of Little Rachel’s Organic range.
The packaging is good, with a nice picture and colours, which would definitely catch my eye. My daughter, Nanna, particular liked the colourful fruit pictures.
However, when it came to tasting the product, I was slightly disappointed, although Nanna liked it.
It had a very natural taste but was far too watery, which meant Nanna made quite a mess when eating it - not ideal.
Because of the mess factor, I would not buy these yogurts again. And, when given the choice between Petit Filous - which is what I normally buy - and this one, Nanna picked Petit Filous.
Score: 16/25
Buyer’s Verdict
Jonathon Bayne, technical development controller - budgens
To assist in my appraisal of these yogurts, I enlisted the support of Micah aged seven.
The packaging was very good. The use of a black background with a photograph works well. The flavours were fairly mainstream, and were all enjoyed by Micah.
He found the yogurts to be really creamy and nice to eat, with very good fruity flavours. The appearance of the product was also good, with a smooth appearance.
Rachel’s Organic is already a well respected brand in the market for its existing product range, so this addition to the range will no doubt go down well.
I’m sure these yogurts will appeal to the intended market, and if Micah’s comments are anything to go by, children will love them.
Score: 22/25
