The bottle design looks quite classy although I’m not sure it effectively conveys the more informal style of the drink. I might walk past it in the supermarket thinking it was something else.
The drink itself is great as an alternative to wine and is perfect for a girlie night in. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong the strawberry flavour was, as I had expected it to be more subtle, but it was rich and fruity and tasted quite indulgent.
That said, the drink needs to be shared as it becomes quite sickly after a few glasses. It also does not go well with food, so it is more an ape ritif than a dinner drink.
I’d definitely buy it in the summer months.

This is effectively a sparkling wine mixed with natural strawberry essence, a sort of a wine RTD!
The blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, combined with the strawberry essence, delivers a liquid that is surprisingly refreshing. It’s not as sweet as one would initially expect and as a result it would make a great alternative to Pimm’s in the summer - or a refreshing everyday alternative to Champagne.
While the liquid is innovative, the packaging is rather disappointing. Consumers have limited reasons to notice the product on-shelf; with poor shelf standout, it just looks like another Cava.
