The Co-operative Group has promoted Mark Owen to the newly-created post of head of trading non-food.
Owen will focus on non-food and kiosk-related products within Co-operative Group
stores, including cigarettes, newspapers and magazines, phonecards, PayPoint and petrol sales.
Former head of category buying for grocery non-edibles, he joined the group from United Co-operatives four years ago and will report to general trading manager David Messom.
The group has also appointed Peter Soproniuk business acquisitions manager for south-west England and south Wales after acquiring 64 Conveco convenience stores.
