Riso Gallo, Italy's brand leader in rice, has added Bomba Paella Rice to its range of Italian risottos. The newcomer is made up of bomba, the finest variety of Spanish paella rice, and is currently being distributed through selected Waitrose and Booths stores. Its rsp is £1.59, 500g. The short-grain rice, which is grown and milled in the Spanish rice growing area of Valencia, can absorb three times its volume in liquid during cooking, said the company, making it ideal for paella dishes. It is also vacuum packed, in line with the company's existing risotto products. Michael Winfield, managing director of Riso Gallo, said: "We are always looking for innovative ways to improve and increase the range. "After the international success of our premium Italian risotto rices, we feel this is a natural extension to our range." {{P&P }}
