Arla is preparing to celebrate a special birthday this year as its premier brand Lurpak marks 100 years.
When Lurpak first began arriving from Denmark, at the beginning of the last century, it was shipped in wooden barrels the size of beer kegs.
Shopkeepers would then slice off a slab of butter and wrap it in greaseproof paper.
It wasn't until 1957 that the first individual packs of Lurpak, in their distinctive silver packaging, went on sale.
The packaging still retains the famous Lurmark horns, introduced 100 years ago as the Danish Dairy Federation's highest seal of approval.
To mark the occasion the company will be creating special centenary packs of Lurpak, offering consumers the chance to win a share of £100,000.
A total of 40 prizes, ranging from £500 to £25,000, are up for grabs on packs of both Lurpak and Lurpak Spreadable.
