Healthy meals challenger The Gym Kitchen has launched a multipack of hard-boiled eggs into Tesco.
Each pack (rsp: £2.25/175g) contains four eggs and 22g of protein.
Hard-boiled eggs were soaring in popularity thanks to their “super-convenient, naturally high-protein benefits”, said The Gym Kitchen, citing Tesco’s own reveal that hard-boiled eggs had overtaken a packet of crisps as its most popular meal deal snack in 2024.
The Gym Kitchen’s hard-boiled eggs came packaged in a handy two-egg split pot “for added convenience”.
The supplier has also launched a BBQ-flavoured addition to its Chicken Bites Grazing Pack range.
High Protein BBQ Chicken Bites Grazing Packs (rsp: £2.25/105g) were “loaded with 20g of protein” and designed to “tap into healthy all-day snacking and sharing occasions”, it said.
“All-day snacking is a huge opportunity as consumers increasingly look for ways to fuel their day with healthy, protein-packed food options,” said The Gym Kitchen founder Segun Akinwoleola.
“Our new hard-boiled eggs and new High Protein BBQ Chicken Bites Grazing Packs are perfect grab and go snacks for busy office days and post-workout nourishment – they are also versatile to eat on their own or add to your favourite recipes.”
The NPD is the latest push by The Gym Kitchen to expand into new categories and occasions. Last month, it added a duo of high-protein chicken sausages, having also extended into chilled dairy with the launch of a high-protein milk in October.
