The Jolly Hog and Belazu have partnered to launch Slow Cooked Harissa Pork Cheeks.
It uses high-welfare pork cheeks that have been slow cooked, and Belazu’s Rose Harissa paste.
The meal, which serves as a centrepiece for two as a main, can be made in as little as 20 minutes.
“Slow Cooked Pork is downright delicious but smother it with rose harissa and you have off-the-chart tasty flavour,” said Olly Kohn, co-founder of The Jolly Hog. “We couldn’t be more proud to partner up with our friends at Belazu, who are known to be as obsessed with quality ingredients and top-notch flavour as we are.”
The brands suggest it could also be divided and served as a hearty starter shredded over grilled cheese toasts or to top canapés such as mini Yorkshire puddings with crème fraiche.
“It has been a real pleasure partnering with fellow B Corp The Jolly Hog to create this innovative new product – their commitment to using only the highest-quality meat matches our own dedication to seeking out bold flavours loved and trusted across the UK’s top professional kitchens,” said Andrew Ritchie, head of product innovation at Belazu.
“Taking a chefs’ favourite cut of meat and marinating it in our signature Rose Harissa Paste is guaranteed to deliver full-on flavour – and we know that Sainsbury’s shoppers are going to love recreating this restaurant-quality meal in their own kitchens.”
The Jolly Hog Slow Cooked Pork Cheeks in Belazu Rose Harissa (rsp: £10/410g) launched into Sainsbury’s in 100% recyclable packaging.
