TV chef and cookery writer Anjum Anand has added a range of naans to her Indian brand The Spice Tailor.
The flame-baked naans, rolling into Waitrose exclusively this week, are made to a traditional Tandoori naan recipe and come in three variants - garlic & coriander, onion and plain (rsp: £1.99).
The naans were “the perfect” accompaniment for an Indian meal, but also worked with different serving suggestions such as toasted sandwiches, piled high with masala eggs or as pizza-like flat breads, said Anand.
“I want to encourage budding home cooks to experiment and create delicious Indian dishes with them,” she added.
The trio joins the brand’s curry sauces and chutneys on shelf, which have been extended with two sauces - Classic Butter Chicken and Fiery Goan Curry – taking the range to 10, alongside Sweet Tamarind and Original Mango ‘Chutnis’.
