The Spice Tailor has hired Nomad Foods’ Pete Johnson as marketing director.
Johnson, who held a number of roles at the frozen giant over 12 years, including group communications and marketing director and senior brand manager, will join the Indian ambient meals brand from 29 November.
Prior to Nomad, Johnson worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises for over a decade. During his time at the soft drinks giant he oversaw the launch of Coke Zero in the on-trade.
“I am really looking forward to joining with Anjum [Anand, co-founder], Adarsh [Sethia, MD] and the team at The Spice Tailor,” said Johnson. “The brand really delivers on its authentic taste promise and has huge potential to delight more shoppers.”
It comes as The Spice Tailor is approaching its 10-year anniversary. The brand was “now investing in key people to inject energy and faster growth in the UK and beyond”, said Adarsh Sethia.
“We will soon have a new London HQ and development kitchen and a strong NPD pipeline to execute. We already pride ourselves in attracting new shoppers to the fixture and we aim to increase our brand power through bigger comms and shopper interventions.”
