Waitrose store manager Kate Corcoran won our Top Store award this time last year, after her Monmouth store in Wales dazzled our mystery shopper with excellent customer service and a clean and tidy shop.
Corcoran then stated that 2006 would be a year of change for the store, with a hefty focus on a new stock management system that was to be implemented. Corcoran left the branch on 5 January to work at head office but deputy manager Sarah Burris said 2006 had been a good year and the new system had helped the store to keep track of what items were in stock, helping them to give better service. "We have had a fantastic year and we're hoping to build on that this year," she said.
