Blakemore Food Service has clinched a £50m three-year contract to supply 240 Three Cooks bakery outlets.
The AF Blakemore subsidiary will supply ambient, chilled and frozen products and fruit and vegetables to the outlets.
Products will be delivered three times per week by the company’s temperature-controlled fleet, which has recently increased in size from 45 to 63 vehicles.
Blakemore Food Service sales and marketing director Peter Davison said: “We feel we won this contract on the basis of service, hands-on management, dedicated telesales and drivers and the logistical controls of delivering from one depot in Darlaston.
“Three Cooks is a great fit to our existing business and provides us with a very strong base in the retail sector.”
Derek Martin, chief executive of Three Cooks, said: “Blakemore impressed us hugely in terms of service, expertise and cost.”
